Relaxing Into
Last night, I ate too much yoghurt (any dairy is often too much for me), so I woke up with a not-so-happy body. I felt brain fuzzy, lethargic and slightly comatose.
The habitual pattern of creating a story came up in the distance. I knew that going into it would only add suffering to the yukkiness, and that I had an alternative: to relax into my experiences in the present. From making it into an enemy and draining additional resources by trying to combat it, I could invite it to become an ally.
And what I discovered was that the lethargy now became a support. Where my focus and energy sometimes is scattered and agitated, it now was more relaxed, calm and allowed me to sink into my tasks for the morning - with less distractions.
