Death
Reading about death in Douglas Harding's book Face to No-Face, I was reminded of a death verse by Ikkyu (paraphrased).
I won't go anywhere, but if you call my name I won't answer.
It is a beautifully precise, simple and poetic way of phrasing the process of death. The pattern of the small self goes away and there is no way to speak. At the same time, as unborn space & awareness, I won't go anywhere.
