Statements

General Insight

For any statement, there is an equal and opposite statement that also has validity. We can turn any statement around, any possible way, and each of these statements will have validity. The question is, how is each one as true as - or more true than - the original statement.

If we cannot see this and be comfortable with it, it means we are stuck.

Specific Instance

I remembered a conversation where I emphasized the importance of ordinariness - in spiritual practice, traditions, and everyday life. Then I realized that I was stuck in one end of the polarity - in ordinariness, and excluding the special and extraordinary. Both are of course valid, both are part of existence. And in our own life, they come up at different times. When we are fluid - we can move from one to the other, and see both (and neither) in every situation as well.
